Polar Plunge- A time of reflecting & renewal

On Tuesday Jan 1, 2013 a group of us decided to do the annual Paris Mountain Polar Plunge. None of us have done one before and were excited, thinking about backing out, ready to jump in...... ha! We had all these emotions going.  For me the plunge was a symbolic purging of 2012’s mistakes & misgivings and a renewal / cleansing to prepare myself for 2013. 

We waited and they counted us down… At go, we all ran towards the water, jumped in and had to go to the rope and then back out. Brrrrrrrrrr…… it was chilly.  One of our friends, landed wrong in her jump and ended up breaking her fibula and cracking her ankle! Ouch!!! My thoughts are with her for a super fast recovery.
