Post marathon recovery

It has been a week since our marathon. I wanted to update you on my recovery, soreness and etc.  Sunday when I woke up, I felt great! Only my Achilles was sore. I couldn't believe we ran 26 miles and I wasn't hurting.  

Monday was status quo... Went to work and had Thanksgiving lunch at work :) and then to CrossFit Monday evening.  I rowed a 5k on the Concept 2 rower. It was a good easy tempo row. I consider this active recovery. The rest of the week was back to normal - CrossFit everyday!!! I love it!

I owe my awesome recovery to CrossFit on a daily basis and a lot of yoga & mobility the week prior to the marathon. My achilles is feeling a lot better after ice and mobility.

How do you prepare or recover after events, runs, and competitions?

Enjoyed some awesome Bacon Pancakes the morning after
