So what all has happeneded since last August... Oh gosh, a lot of things!!
Some of my biggest events are:
- In December 2011, I celebrated my 10 year wedding anniversary with my amazing husband, Regan!!! I am completely blessed and cant wait for the next 100 years!!
- In April, we had our 3rd Annual WOD for a Cure at CrossFit Greer and it was amazing!! We had more than double the amount of people we had in 2011. I believe it was something like 145 people who competed!! Next year I am charged with the task of finding a bigger location!! I am beyond thankful to our community of CrossFit friends. They shared and joined in with my passion to find a cure for cancer!! We raised $5671 this year to go towards Relay for Life with the American Cancer Society!!
- In May, I lost my job of over 7 years and started a new job at the end of June
- In March, I completed my Level 1 Movement & Mobility CrossFit certification!! It was hands down one of the best ever! I have added mobility to my training at CFG and also did a month long special classes at the box to focus on movement & mobility for the members.
- I visited Washington, DC with one great friend, Kellie! This was my first trip ever to DC and Kellie & her family were such an awesome tour guide. While we were there, there was a CrossFit event, CrossFit for Hope WOD. We met many famous CF peeps including Ben Smith, Julie Foucher, Christmas Abbott, Neil Maddox, Greg Glassman, Bob Harper and many others!!
- Um... We decided to sign up to run a marathon in November! Yes, I did say a marathon! 26.2 miles!!! What?! Am I crazy!! I do think so! Especially, since Regan has a sticker on his Element that says "0.0 I dont run!" hahah!! We started training for this in June and are 3 months and 3 days away from the event as of today! We are following a training plan that includes crossfit so that we don't loose our strength due to all the running. It includes 3 runs a week - 1 short run, 1 tempo/interval run, and 1 long run (adding a mile or two each week). Thunder Road Marathon is the event we are running!!
- At the end of July, I was asked to be an Ambassador for Lululemon!!! Who just recently opened a showroom here in Greenville, Sc!!! OMG! I am super excited about this new adventure and am already planning some community events for CrossFit and Lululemon!!
Have a great week!!
Yay! You will have a loyal reader in me!
