My daddy

This man was my hero for my entire life. He was fair, just and very considerate. It's hard to believe that I could have been blessed with such a great Dad.

He spent his entire life trying to make something of himself so that he could give us all that he never had as a child. He managed to give us way more than the material things he wanted us to have.  He showed us love. He taught us right from wrong. He taught by his example how to care for others and to always try to put a smile on someone's face.  He taught us to work hard and to never give up on our dreams and goals.
He was a grease monkey. Always working on cars or his harley. He loved being in the garage, and with my brother & me right beside him.
He was such a supportive dad. I remember him always being at my basketball games, track meets, band competitions or anything else I was participating in. I remember the look on his face before all of these events, a look of determination and a “go get em” smile.  He believed in me! I remember the look on his face when I scored my first points in basketball or I crossed the finish line or made another jump.
He made growing up so much fun. He had a sense of humor & a smile that could win anyone over. I still remember his smile & telling me happy birthday, the night before he passed away.
My dad passed away from a long struggle with cancer on Dec 12, 2003.  I would give anything for one more high five & bear hug with my daddy.
