Grandfather Mountain

Regan and I went last Sunday to Grand Father Mountain for a hike!! This was seriously so much fun!!! We chose to hike the Grandfather trail, which is their hardest trail. I can say I have never hiked something so amazingly beautiful and with a challenge.  The hike was pretty much along the ridge of the mountain. It was windy at times. The trail had cables & ladders we had to climb. It went above 6000 feet above sea level in elevation, which is way higher than a mile in elevation. It also did not have fences on ledges and cliffs, so one slip, we could have fallen to our deaths, as the brochure also tells us! ha

If you are from around this area, I suggest taking a day and going for a hike here!  Plus doggies are welcome, they just can't make it to certain parts since you have to climb ladders and such.
