Looking back at the broken person I was. Not just on the outside but on the inside. Emotionally unhealthy with self love and care. Food and wine were my refuge. I carried the weight of self loathing. All the ups and downs of yo-yo dieting, diet pills, fad diets, starvation

and lies to myself to make foods/alcohol fit my macros - never made me feel any better. It had to happen from the inside. I had to work on changing my perception of myself and that would begin to manifest from the inside out. I’m all about self love, sometimes that means you will make changes and love yourself through them. It’s not always easy and some days I am like an emotional wreck. Some days I don’t see the progress I’ve made and I need to be reminded. I’m human. I have flaws. I have bad days. Instead of self pity on those days, I put my big girl undies on and handle it.

Self love is disciplining your disappointments. Self love is your awareness. Self love is not letting outside opinions penetrate your perception of your own worth. My journey isn’t over and neither is the growth of my self love.
